Merry Christmas

Mom, Dad and I want to wish a Merry Christmas to all our family and friends. We are going to be spending a lot of time this Holiday with granddaughter Kennedy. Watching her with all her presents is the highlight of the Holiday. Dad is scheduled for another chemo treatment on the 27th.  The next day, Dad's sister and brother-in-law will be spending a couple of days with us. I enjoy their company because they bring their poodle "Sam" who is fun to play with.

Happy Thanksiving

Kennedy and I want to  wish a Happy Thanksgiving to our family and friends. We hope everyone has a safe and wonderful Turkey Day.  Notice the car ride Kennedy is giving me.  It is one neat car, even equipped with a radio.

We have no special plans for Thanksgiving.  Dad has fully recovered from his mini-strokes and seizures.  He restarts his chemo treatments again in December.  Mom has been a fantastic caretaker for Dad.

Happy Halloween



 

Happy Halloween to all of our friends.  Kennedy & I want to wish everyone a Happy & Safe Halloween.  Kennedy spent the night with us because her parents and the partners & wives from Trevor's company went to Columbia, S.C. to receive an award for being a top 20 small company in the state of S.C.  Mom, Dad & I are so pround of them. 

 

Kennedy & I had a great time together.  She made me my supper and we went on alot of rides in the golf cart.  Kennedy decorated her first pumpkin, Mom helped with putting on the eyes, but she did the rest herself.  She did a good job.  Then we went for a walk thru the GRAVE YARD (halloween decoration for the haunted house in the park). 

 

Sorry for not blogging more but we don't do much.  Mom & I take Dad down to Columbia for his Chemo treatments every week.  His tumor hasn't gotten bigger but is has become more active.  Dad does good except he get tired and weak and when he starts to feel better, it is time for another treatment.

A Day With Kennedy

Sorry it has been awhile since my last blog.  Dad has been having treatments again, but it seems to be going well.  Friday, Mom got a 911 call from Trevor & Sharon to see if she could watch Kennedy.  Now we all know what she said, YES, ____ Yes.  So she went and brought her out here to spend the day with us.  Boy, did we have fun.  She made pizzas for PaPa's lunch and she helped Mom make spaghetti & salad for supper.  Dad & Mom took her to the post office on the golf cart and then she got to see the goats we have here at the RV park.  She wasn't to sure about petting them but she liked them.  Their names are Maggie & Charlie.  Mom tried to get her to take a nap but even with me in bed with her, she wouldn't take a nap.  But she did read PaPa & me a story and then we got to play outside.  We found out last week that Trevor &Sharon are going to have another baby and Kennedy says that it is going to be a girl and her name is going to be Jessica.  I can't wait, some one else for me to play with.  Dad has another treatment on the 10th & I get to go with them.  It is okay now because it isn't so hot out now.  Mom wants to go up to Gatlinburg to see the leaves turn color the last of September, but only if Dad feels good enough to go.  Hopefully we will have some great pictures to send your way.  Take care everyone & God Bless.

Road Trip To St Marys, PA

Today we arrived home following a week long road trip to St Marys, PA where we visited with Mom's relatives.  Uncle Albert and Aunt Diane were wonderful hosts.  We got to see loads of nieces and nephews, including great-great nephew Gage, who was born this past January.  I had fun playing with cousin Smokey,  half shepherd and half timberwolf.  Smokey is a gentle giant.  A couple of times Uncle Albert took Mom and Dad out to spot elk. All they saw were deer, turkeys, a ground hog and a hawk, no elk. Of course on his drive home from work Tuesday, Uncle Albert saw three elk bulls. We had lots of fun and it was a very relaxing trip.

Trip To Texas

Hello everyone.  It has been quite awhile since my last entry.  Today we arrived back in South Carolina after a two week trip to the Dallas, TX area where we visited with Dave and Pat and my four legged cousins.  We had a very enjoyable time except for the flea infestation I contracted.  Mom and Dad enjoyed seeing and visiting with Dave and Pat.  Mom and Dad also got to spend time visiting with some old friends.  They really enjoyed seeing old friends and talking about old times.  Of course it is getting real warm in Texas so I spent a lot of time in the air conditioning. The trip was a good break for all of us with what has been going on with Dad's treatments for the past 16 months.  Dad held up real well.

Boy, I sure like it when Kennedy Rae comes out for a visit.  She takes me on walks and gives me all the treats that I can eat. She's still  trying to get me in a hair band but I hide pretty good.
Well, we got some great news today....Dad's cancer is finally in REMISSION.  Isn't that the best news?
I can't wait until around May 18th or so because Dad, Mom & I are going to travel to TEXAS for a couple weeks.  Can't wait to see my 6 4-legged cousins, yea Dave & Pat,too. 
Dad, Mom & I want to say THANK YOU to all of our friends & family for keeping Dad in their prayers,  It sure helped.

Weekend With Kennedy

We just finished a wonderful weekend with Kennedy while her Mom and Dad were out of town. Kennedy and I became very close friends as she is now petting and kissing me. She kept me real active. She even fed me some of her pancakes for breakfast. She kept Mom and Dad busy also, with Dad reading to her and she an Mom knitting together.

It is real cold in South Carolina. When we got home we some of our pipes frozen. Fortunately they thawed out without any damage. We are expecting another cold night tonight but then it will start warming up.

I know that it has been awhile since I posted but not much happening until this week. On Monday Mom & I took Dad to the emer. room and he had to stay in the hospital for 2 nights. This morning Mom went to bring him home and I got to stay with my friend Freckles, who is a Natural Cocker Spaniel. We had a great time together. The picture that you see is Freckles & me.

This week-end Mom & Dad are going to baby-sit Kennedy while her Mommy & Daddy go away and I get to go with them. Hope Kennedy shares her toys and drops lots of food on the floor for me to eat. Kennedy has a cool yellow slide we can play on, too.
