Santa Baby, I've Been Very Good!!!!

Yesterday, we arrived in South Carolina where we will be spending the Christmas holidays. Our first order of business was to go see Santa so I could tell him what I want for Christmas. Today, I am going to help Mom and Dad put up the Christmas lights and decorations on the trailer. We will be spending the holidays with my cousin dogs Lenny, Chu, Gizmo, Buddy, Missy and the mean old cat Tiki. I am still unsure about Chu. I don't know if he wants to play with me or have me for a snack. I wanto wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season.

Georgia On My Mind

We are now in a two week visit to the State of Georgia. So far, it seems the Governor's prayer for rain is working. The picture is the boyhood home of President Jimmy Carter in Plains, GA. Also visited were the Andersonville Civil War POW Camp, the National POW Museum and National Cemetery. From here we will be heading to Greensboro, GA where we will base to visit Atlanta and Augusta. Did everyone have a nice Thanksgiving? On Sunday, Mom and Dad celebrated their 40th anniversary.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

From the panhandle of Florida, Mom, Dad and I want to wish a Happy Thanksgiving to all of our friends and families. May you all have a wonderful holiday. While enjoying the holiday, please take a few moments to pause and remember our servicemen and servicewomen who are not able to be with their families while they are protecting our freedom.

Florida Visit

Hello from Florida. Today we arrived in Okaloosa County, Florida. We will be here for a week visiting old friends. Okaloosa County is where Mom and Dad met and got married. Both sons, David and Trevor, were born here. This is where Dad was a deputy sheriff before leaving for the jewelry security profession. Today was a long trip from Kinder, LA. We had to make a long detour as I-10 was closed between Lafayette, LA and Baton Rouge, LA because of an oil pipeline fire near the highway.

Coushatta Indian Reservation

We are camping for the next couple of days at the Coushatta Indian Reservation in Louisiana. Do you think I could pass for an indian brave? In the Coushatta language, I am an IF'A, which means dog. This is a beautiful park. Thanks to our friends Skeeter, Debbie, Bob and Marilyn for telling us about this park. This is the first stop on our slow trip back to South Carolina. I will keep you informed of our travels.

Columbus, Texas

Today we left Medina Lake and my friends Taffy and Snickers and all the deer. We are now in Columbus, TX on the bank of the Texas Colorado River. We enjoyed our time at Medina Lake but this is a pretty park, too. We will be here for 10 days, relaxing and visiting some old Florida friends, who now live in Smithville, TX. Take care friends and keep in touch.

I am now a "Service Dog"

Because of Mom's disability, under the ADA, I am now a "Service Dog" because I help her with her mobility. Under the law, I can now accompany her anywhere she goes as long as I wear my Service Dog vest. I also have a tag that states "Service Dog Access - Must Be Permitted By Law". If anyone questions this, then they have to call the Department of Justice.
I now have a very responsible job!

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween everyone. Is everyone ready to go "Trick or Treating" ? I am, wearing my security dog cape and cool shades. I will be ready to chase off the ghosts and goblins.

I just had a great weekend with my friends, Missy and Tanzy, who came down from the Ft Worth area to spend some time with me. We had fun playing and feeding the deer.

Deer Me

This is a picture of me and Dad hand feeding an 8 point buck at the Medina Lake Thousand Trails RV Resort in the Texas hill country. We arrived today and will be here for 3 weeks. That is plenty of time for me to make friends with Bambi and all of her pals, including jackrabbits.

Deep In The Heart O' Texas

We are now back in the Lone Star state where we will be resting and relaxing for the next five weeks. Yesterday, we went to Dallas and all I heard was Mom and Dad complaining about the traffic. They said that was why they are glad they no longer live here and have to deal with the traffic every day. Last night I met a new friend Abby. She is a real cutie. She and I got to play throughout her house while our folks went out to dinner. Abby shared her treats, food and toys with me. We had a great time with the humans out of the way.

Today is a sad day for Mom and Dad. They are going to the funeral of their good friend Plumer Brown, who was the leader of their trike group. According to Mom and Dad, Plumer was one cool guy who was always fun to be around.

Santa Fe Trail "The Great Prairie Highway"

Today we walked on the Santa Fe Trail where we could see ruts and depressions from the thousands of wagons in wagon trains traveling from Independence, MO to Santa Fe, NM. From 1821 until 1880, the Santa Fe Trail was one of the main routes for people moving West.

From here we will be heading back to the Lone Star State for 6 weeks of rest and relaxation and visits with old friends.

Pike's Peak Or Bust

I RODE THE PEAK! Today, Mom, Dad and I rode the trike to the summit of Pike's Peak, elevation 14,110 feet. We were accompanied by our friends, George & Gloria Rink, on their Harley. What an AWESOME ride! It was a great ride up and the sights from the top were fantastic. At the top, I was the center of attention having ridden up on the trike. But, all I got out of it was a bouncy bear toy as a souvenir. Mom and Dad have also visited the gold mining town of Cripple Creek, the Garden Of The Gods, the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame and the Buffalo Bill Museum and gravesite. Mom and Dad also rode over the Royal Gorge Bridge, the world's highest suspension bridge, 1,053 feet above the Arkansas River.

Howdy From Dodge City

Howdy pardners. We are now in the Old West, Dodge City, Kansas. Mom and Dad took me out to chase some prairie dogs today. They are about my size but hid in their holes when I started to get too close. I guess it will be regular dog food for supper tonight. Mom and Dad are going to Boot Hill and the Long Branch Saloon. They don't allow pets so I guess I will have to stand guard at the trailer to keep any wild bushwhackers from taking it.

Branson, MO

We are in Branson, MO in the Ozarks. This is beautiful country but loaded with tourists. Here I am with Mom in front of Dick Clark's American Bandstand Theater. Mom and Dad went to a show there and saw Fabian, Bobby Vee (Take Good Care of My Baby), Brian Hyland (Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini), The Chiffons (He's So Fine) and Chris Montez (Lets Dance). Fabian said the show should be renamed "Seniors Gone Wild". Tomorow we hit the road again.

On The Road Again

Well folks, after 3 wonderful weeks in South Carolina, we are now on the road again. It was great spending time with David & Pat and Trevor and meeting cousin David and his wife Leticia and cousin Heather with her children Emma and David. Emma and David gave me a really cool stuffed duck for m birthday. I have been having fun playing with it. I even enjoyed tormenting Trevor's lab Lenny.

We are now spending a long weekend on The Natchez Trace in Tenn. This is some beautiful county with great motorcycle riding roads. We are slowly working our way to Colorado Springs to visit old friends but we have several stops planned along the way, Cherokee Landing, TN, Branson , MO Wichita, KS and maybe even catch up with some horse thieves or cattle rustlers in Dodge City, KS. I will keep you updated as we visit those towns.
