Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween everyone. Is everyone ready to go "Trick or Treating" ? I am, wearing my security dog cape and cool shades. I will be ready to chase off the ghosts and goblins.

I just had a great weekend with my friends, Missy and Tanzy, who came down from the Ft Worth area to spend some time with me. We had fun playing and feeding the deer.

Deer Me

This is a picture of me and Dad hand feeding an 8 point buck at the Medina Lake Thousand Trails RV Resort in the Texas hill country. We arrived today and will be here for 3 weeks. That is plenty of time for me to make friends with Bambi and all of her pals, including jackrabbits.

Deep In The Heart O' Texas

We are now back in the Lone Star state where we will be resting and relaxing for the next five weeks. Yesterday, we went to Dallas and all I heard was Mom and Dad complaining about the traffic. They said that was why they are glad they no longer live here and have to deal with the traffic every day. Last night I met a new friend Abby. She is a real cutie. She and I got to play throughout her house while our folks went out to dinner. Abby shared her treats, food and toys with me. We had a great time with the humans out of the way.

Today is a sad day for Mom and Dad. They are going to the funeral of their good friend Plumer Brown, who was the leader of their trike group. According to Mom and Dad, Plumer was one cool guy who was always fun to be around.

Santa Fe Trail "The Great Prairie Highway"

Today we walked on the Santa Fe Trail where we could see ruts and depressions from the thousands of wagons in wagon trains traveling from Independence, MO to Santa Fe, NM. From 1821 until 1880, the Santa Fe Trail was one of the main routes for people moving West.

Full-Time Anniversary

Today we are in Capulin, New Mexico celebrating Mom and Dad's first anniversary as full-time RVers. What a year it has been, we have visited 33 States and 5 Canadian Provinces. We will be spending 3 days in New Mexico doing some sightseeing, including a walk into the crater of the Capulin volcano. From here we will be heading back to the Lone Star State for 6 weeks of rest and relaxation and visits with old friends.
